German to English translations [PRO] Social Sciences - Mathematics & Statistics / psychology research | | German term or phrase: allgemeine Belastung | This is a statistical evaluation of a clinical trial of a certain assessment method for determining patients' skills in various domains, such as social competence and stress management. It uses both interviews and questionnaires. In the following passage, I can't tell whether the "allgemeine Belastung" refers to "generalized stress" (which has not been an issue so far in the article, and this is about half-way through a 4,000-word article), or to a statistical concept of "loading."
Thanks for any help you can provide!
Konstruktvalidität: Bei der Prüfung von konvergenter und divergenter Validität ergaben sich gute konvergente Validitäten. Die Fertigkeiten korrespondierten mit den jeweils konstruktnahen Fragebögen und ließen sich von ***allgemeiner Belastung*** (SCL-90-R) abgrenzen (substanzielle, aber geringere Korrelationen). |
