Tech/Engineering - Mechanics / Mech Engineering / Properties of materials for fasteners
German term or phrase: Kopfschlagzähigkeit
The context is a bit limited unfortunately, as this only appears in a table of 'Mechanische und physikalische Eigenschaften' for threaded fasteners. The table shows the property in left-hand column (see below), with figures for each of the property classes on the right.
----
Festigkeit unter Schrägzugbelastung
Kerbschlagarbeit, KU
*** Kopfschlagzägigkeit ***
Mindesthöhe der nicht entkohlten
Gewindezone E
Maximale Tiefe der
Auskohlung G
Härte nach Wiederanlassen
Oberflächenzustand

I found a couple of other hits for "Schlagzägigkeit", but apart from that have drawn a blank so far.

Thanks in advance for your ideas.

"Each of the tapping bolts manufactured was subjected to a tensile test and a ***head toughness test***. The hardness, the effective depth of the hardened layer and the tapping ability of the bolt were evaluated from the results.

The tensile tests performed on the bolts were conducted using a wedge tensile tester in accordance with JIS B1051, with a wedge angle of 10° and the ***head toughness*** tests performed on the bolts were conducted in accordance with JIS B1055."

Thanks for the help. I used 'head impact toughness'.
Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks, that makes a lot of sense! I thought it could well be a typo. Unfortunately I was stuck on 'Zügigkeit', which made no sense at all!
