German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Mechanics / Mech Engineering
German term or phrase: Ausleger
Hier ist eine andere Form des Reißleinenprinzips (Ausleger) oder ein Taster mit entsprechender Funktion vorzusehen.

My translation is : A different form of trigger line mechanism (cantilever) or a push button with the corresponding function is planned in these cases.

Is cantilever correct for Ausleger???

English translation:emergency stop / pull button
Explanation:
As diesel buses have the legend "open cover and pull button to stop engine in emergency", I think this is possibly an adaptation of this to be found on the dashboard of a car. Like the choke button on older cars, which had to be pulled out to choke off the supply of cold air when starting the engine in cold weather.

With the extra context you have (grudgingly - but why?) given us, this answer makes no sense at all, so is best ignored.

The "Reißleine" might possibly translate as "ripcord" - e.g. hanging from the ceiling or an overhead fitting (maybe to stop the line in case of an emergency), but THEN I wouldn't have any idea how an "Ausleger" fits in.
