This comes in a caption in a photo report dealing with the welding of silencer parts:

'Stichprobe der bereits gefertigten Aufnahmen und deren Schweißausführung'

The picture itself shows a row of stirrup-shaped mountings welded onto a panel of sheet metal

I tend to 'baffles' or 'baffle mountings'. Which, if any, is correct please ?

Thank you all for pointing me in the right direction. 'Retainer' is indeed used in this context, I found, but further research showed that the company in question prefers 'baffle shoe' for this particular application.
