German to English translations [PRO]
Science - Mechanics / Mech Engineering / Scientific instrumentation
German term or phrase: unübersehbares Raumvolumen
Context:

"das Gerät besitzt ein unübersehbares Raumvolumen"

This is re. a microtome, so I'm really puzzled by this usage of unübersehbar. Surely it doesn't really mean that it is immense/inestimable in size (cf. http://www.linguee.com/search?direction=auto&query=unbersehbar )? It looks decidedly "überschaubar" to me: http://tinyurl.com/ydbod2k

Notes to answerer
Asker: 'highly visble' would make sense for 'unübersehbar', but I can't see how it could mean "besitzt ein unübersehbares Raumvolumen".

Asker: After all, you couldn't say that it "has a highly visible size/volume".
