Mit einem drehmoment-drehwinkelkontrollierten Werkzeug kann sowohl im elastischen als auch im überelastischen Bereich verschraubt werden.
Das Maximum an Vorspannkraft wird beim Anziehen im überelastischen Bereich erzielt.
Die Praxis hat gezeigt, dass dieses Verfahren erst dann seine größte Genauigkeit erreicht, wenn die Schraube in den überelastischen Bereich angezogen wird, weil sich dann Winkelfehler wegen des annähernd horizontalen Verlaufes der Verformungskennlinie im überelastischen Bereich kaum auswirken.
