Thanks for that Miccaela. Marcus's peer grade has also cleared things up for me. I now realise that Fräsen here is a verbal noun meaning "milling" rather than a concrete noun (plural of Fräse). Been having a lot of trouble with those verbal nouns lately (ahem). Anyway, thanks again, and thanks also to the peer graders - appreciate your help.
