Can anyone help me with this sentence? I can't quite figure ou what is meant by it.

I think Kenneth was on the right lines here, and should have posted; as far as I understand, this is NOT what JCC is saying, but what I understand Kenneth to mean. But then I may be wrong....

Explanation:
The motors must be capable of maintaining the closed position while retaining torque.

My take is that it is "Drehmoment sparend" so the retaining, saving, preserving. Those all might work.
