Medical - Medical: Cardiology / Zwerchfelle gerundet
German term or phrase: Zwerchfelle gerundet
This is from a medical report on a lady who had a precautionary x-ray and other investigations prior to travelling to the tropics.
I always thought Zwerchfall was the diaphragm and I do not know why it is in the plural (membranes?) or how it can be "gerundet."

"Page 44" is -> 28 of the book, there are some questions, one of them:

Are both domes of the diaphragm well-defined ...?

PS. Zwerchfelle, plural, is impossible in German. To me, it's always Zwerchfell.

See also -> http://www.imedo.de/medizinlexikon/Z/w (find: Zwerchfellhälfte) If you have to speak about both parts (right, left) of the diaphragm, you can use Zwerchfellhälfte.

concave diaphragm

Explanation:
The plural refers to the domes of the diaphragm: "Zwerchfellkuppeln gerundet". Seems to be a symptom of chronic bronchitis.
