On second thought, it is probably an I after all, so it must be ramus marginalis I, or first marginal branch (as there is also a ramus marginalis II).

Asker: Thanks, Ingeborg. Your answer and Melanie's both helped me, but I carefully looked over the German again, comparing the I's and L's, and concluded it probably was "RM I", "first marginal branch".
