German to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Cardiology | | German term or phrase: Iskomm or !skomm | Teil eines Laborberichts fuer einen Patienten mit dekompisierter Herzinsuffizienz. Der Begriff kommt unter Elektrophorese mehrfach vor:
E'phorese: !sKomm (); Alb %; !sKomm % (60.0 - 71.0); alph-1: !sKomm % (1.4-2.9), alph-2: !sKomm % (7.0-11.0)
und so weiter. Ich glaube, das erste Zeichen ist ein Ausrufezeichen, aber es koennte auch ein I sein. Ist das eine Einheit?

Asker: Thanks so much, Gisela, THAT makes sense because they don't actually give the results - although there is nothing at the bottom of the report. Maybe they forgot to include it.... I must admit I'd never have thought of that! Thanks so much!

Reference information:
Anhand der Elektrophorese werden u. a. Alumin, die alph-1-Fraktion, die alph-2- Fraktion usw. bestimmt.
Die im Serum Erwachsener im Normbereich liegenden relativen Werte in Prozent (%) betragen für Albumin: 56 - 68 %;
für alph-1: 2 - 5 % und für alph-2: 6 - 10 %.
Es wäre wahrscheinlich besser und deutlicher gewesen, wenn die %-Angaben in der Frage (s. oben) jeweils wie folgt aufgelistet worden wären:
Alb (%): ! s. Komm. (60,0 - 71,0)
alph-1 (%): ! s. Komm. (1.4-2.9)
alph-2 (%): ! se. Komm. (7.0-11.0)
Ich stimme mit Gisela überein, dass "!s.Komm" für "! siehe Kommentar" steht. Dieser Hinweis ist in Laborberichten ebenso wie "siehe Hiweise", "siehe Anmekrungen" usw. oft zu finden.
