German to English translations [PRO] Medical - Medical: Cardiology
German term or phrase:TE II.°, AE I.° Grades und ME I.-II. Grades
This is in a German medical report, echocardiography of patient who had suffered transient ischemic attack (TIA):
Under "Echokardiographie" heading:
"... diskrete Belastungszeichen mit einer VDD von ca. 30mmHg, dopplersonographisch eine TE II.°, AE I.° Grades und ME I.-II. Grades, deutliche Aortenklappensklerose bei Separation..."
I think the T, A, and M stand for tricuspid, aortic, and mitral, respectively, but am unsure of what the E means.
Appreciate suggestions on what these abbreviations mean and English translation.
for "Insuffizienz", and therefore "E"? Could this be the case here? Well, this is just a hunch :-) I completely agree with "Insuffizienz" after T, A and M, respectively, followed by its degree or level.
they're talking about regurgitation for sure. I've seen some funny abbreviations, esp. in Austrian reports, such as TRINS, MINS ( meaning tricuspid regurgitation, mitral regurg), or TI, MI. but never with an "E". You can be sure it's regurgitation, though.
Dawn, thanks for your suggestion, but I don't think so, I have no OCR, just reading from German PDF, but still it could be a typo, so your suggestion may still be valid.
