German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Medical: Dentistry / Dentistry
German term or phrase: Gipsconter
This word appears in the following sentence:

"Die Prothesenteile wurden mit wenig Cyano-Acrylat im Gipsconter fixiert."

The "Prothesenteile" here being the parts of a dental prosthesis.

I have also encountered "Konter" in this text, in the following sentence:

"Dabei werden die Arbeitsteile von Konterwerkzeugen im Gußobjekt geführt."

Is this simply a case of the author not knowing how to spell "Kontour" (and hence "contour")? This seems most likely to me, but I'd still appreciate some help here. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Thanks, although some reference would have helped, along with a little discussion of "conter" (is it "contour" misspelt? Because neither "conter" nor "Konter" seem to be legitimate words). I'm still a bit puzzled by this term, but your suggestion makes reasonable sense. Better than nothing. So thanks again.
