German to English translations [PRO] Medical - Medical: Dentistry / dental | | German term or phrase: >1/2PB bdslinks | | a finding on an orthodontic exam, refers to the degree of distoclusion ("Distalbiss") |
| | | more than 1/2 width of the premolars on both sides | Explanation: of course, now I have no more use for "links"; but bdslinks as such doesn't make any sense in German, and bds is standard for "on both sides"; Are you quite sure, that links doesn't belong to the next sentence?
Anyway, I hope I could help at least partially.

| Note from asker to answererThis makes excellent sense--it was mainly the acronym PB that had me stumped, and since my primary English dental reference favors the alternative term "bicuspid," I never would have figured out that the P stands for premolar.
Thanks!
Fyi, "bdslinks" really does belong together (appears just before a close parenthesis). I figure since there are 8 premolars, four on each side, the "links" could be referring to the left side of the mouth, and "bds" refers to both sides of the tooth. So I translated the phrase this way:
"on the left, more than 1/2 width of the premolars, on both sides."
