German to English translations [PRO] Medical - Medical: Dentistry / Medical Specialist Abbreviations | | German term or phrase: ORS | These are in a survey in which the survey taker (doctors and dentists specializing in dental surgery, implants, tissue reconstruction, etc.) is asked to chose his/her specialty from the following list: GP I P ORS. And there is a space for "other" as well.
I assume GP stands for general practitioner, and I'm guessing ORS would stand for something like oral rehab specialist, but I thought I'd better seek expert advice on these. I don't have a clue abbout I or P. As per the rules, I'll submit each as a separate question, but they are all from the same question in this survey. And are there acceptable English abbreviations for each one or would it be better (at least in some cases) to write them out? |

| Grading comment I'm going to go with oral surgeon. Given the context it certainly fits. 4 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer |
