"Sind alle Nägel entfernt, fährt man mit dem Raspatorium noch einmal an der Unterseite der Folie entlang und löst sie hier von der knöchernen Unterlage, auch das gelingt sehr einfach. Danach kann die Folie ***am Stück entfernt***, respektive aus der kleinen Aufklappung herausgezogen werden. Wir vermeiden an der Folie zu ziehen, bevor nicht alle Nägel entfernt sind, damit die Folie nicht zerreißt und abgerissene Teile zurückbleiben."

From an implantology article. I'm uncertain as to the exact meaning of "am Stück entfernt". I'm also not sure what the "Stück" is, as this is the first time such a "Stück" is mentioned, but it may be short for "Dentalwerkstück". TIA for your help.

Explanation:
Maybe it's more than just 'in its entirety'. IMO it could also mean 'in one piece and not damaged', hence my suggestion.

Both answers were good ones, but in the end Cilian's has the edge with peer grade support. This was one case where the peer grades definitely made my decision easier. I'll use "in one piece" for my translation, but "intact" is also good.
