German to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Instruments / technical documentation
German term or phrase: Verwendungszweck
Term appears in an instruction manual for an orthosis component as a paragraph headline. The paragraph text is:
Die Schienen sind ausschließlich für die orthetische Versorgung des Kniegelenkes einzusetzen.

In unserem Katalog finden Sie Schienen für den mono- und bilateralen Einsatz.

It seems to me that even the German source text might not be the best choice. So, that would leave room for a freer translation. It should, however, be formal and quite common in the given context.
The translation used up to now is "Application" and I also considered "Intended use" or "Intended applications", but I am not sure if one of these would be appropriate. I would very much appreciate the help of a native working in the field. Thank you.

... fits well here in my opinion (although I must admit I'm not an English native speaker).
