German to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Instruments
German term or phrase: Infiltration
a patient is being given an appointment for an X-ray related procedure, and is asked to abstain from aspirin and related medications for 8 days before the procedure, and to let the hospital know if (s)he has any blood clot issues and is taking anticoagulants.

what on earth is this procedure? the one thing I do know is that it's not an "infiltration"...

If we had the actual (German) sentence, which this term appears in, it would be easier to determine whether this rendering is right.

Much more common in English, for patient-facing paperwork at least.

Although in my translation I also had to include "follow the signs for Infiltrationsraum."
