Die Mikroendoskopie der Tuba Eustachii und der pneumatisierten Mittelohrareale soll jedoch in der Zukunft nicht nur als Diagnostikon dienen. Vielmehr stellt sie in Kombination mit fasergeleiteten Lasersystemen die Basis und die Voraussetzung für das Feld der ,,mikroendoskopisch kontrollierten Laserchirurgie" dar.
