German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Medical: Instruments / Single use injection device - moulded components | | German term or phrase: Karpulenhülse | Hi all,
I am translating project management documentation of a company supplying components for some sort of single use (I assume) injection device (I believe it is something similar to an EpiPen).
One of the components is a "Karpulenhülse". It is an injection moulded part. Other components are "Kolbenstange", "Rasthülse" and "Deckel" (which I have translated as piston rod, lock sleeve and lid respectively).
I believe that the device functions similar to a "Karpulenspritze" (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karpulenspritze) and I assume that the "Karpulenhülse" is filled with the drug and is the single-use component whereas some sort of syringe into which the "Karpulenhülse" is loaded is multiple use.
Unfortunately there are no drawings available.
I can only think of "cartridge" as vaguely fitting term and was wondering if the experts have a better one.
