This 5th edition of the European Pharmacopoeia came into force on the 1st of January 2005 and consists of a two-volume main edition. It has been updated on a regular basis with two supplements following in 2004 and three in each of the subsequent two years to create a collection of eight non cumulative supplements.

no, I would not translate Grundwerk. EP or European Pharmacology IS the considerable basic tome, and the differentiation has to be looked for in the various editions.
