I have no idea what this term means, whether it's a medicinal product, a type of package, a brand name, or even whether it should be Trico or Tricos. The context is shipment and storage of study drugs for a clinical trial:

Explanation:
TRICOS is a resorbable bioactive bone substitute, which is able to be replaced by newly formed
bone over time. TRICOS is a biphasic calcium phosphate ceramic constituted of 60 %
Hydroxyapatite (HA) and 40 % beta Tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP). 3,5 cm3 of TRICOS granules
are contained in an application device.
HA is chemically comparable to biological apatite crystals. Chemically pure HA is considered
as the least bioactive material among the calcium phosphate ceramics in vitro and in vivo.
β-TCP is recognized to have a higher bioactivity and dissolution rate than HA in vitro and in vivo.
It has been shown in vitro and in vivo that a mixture of 60 % HA and 40 % β-TCP represents the
ideal composition for a biphasic calcium phosphate ceramic for use as a resorbable bone substitute.
TRICOS is presented in the form of porous granules with a particle size of 1-2 mm. The porosity
is required for the biological in vivo exchanges, particularly for bone ingrowth and mineralization.

Thanks, everyone. I don't know why I couldn't find this on google. In the pdf it wasn't spelled TRICOS or TricOS, maybe that had something to do with it.
