German to English translations [PRO]
Medical
German term or phrase: ABF
Auszug aus dem CT Befund vom (Datum): Bei Zustand nach ABF C5 bis C7 bestehend weiterhin eine deutliche Verwölbung des Knochenzementes nach ventral, vorwiegend im Segment C5/C6.

The above sentence is in the same text of medical report that I quoted in the earlier KUDOZ query. Is the abbreviation ABF got at all to do with the Bandcheibenoperation that was performed? Is anyone aware of what ABF implies?

aortobronchial fistula

Explanation:
A complication of 'Bandscheibenoperationen' can be the creation a fistuala.

My guess would be that abf stands for 'aortobronchiale Fistel' wich translates to 'aortobronchial fistula'. The only thing I am not quite sure about, is if it shouldn't pehaps be plural.
