"is so well known for..." Explanation: There doesn't seem to be a well-known term that can be used in English in a sentence like "That's why vitamin E is known as the xxx", so the only reasonable solution is "That is why vitamin E is so well known for protecting cells." |

Cell-protecting vitamin Explanation: The full sentence would read It is for this reason that Vitamin C is referred to as a cell-protector/cell-protecting/protective vitamin. This is probably in reference to Vitamin C's antioxidant properties |
