anti-allergen / antihistamine Explanation: Usually the medicines are just called anti-allergens or antihistamines, without the word medicine. The reason is that the active ingredients are antiallergens. One kind of antiallergen is an antihistamine. This is different from, say, "cough syrup", where neither the cough or the syrup is an ingredient! That might be called cough medicine.
