see below Explanation: Seems like that's what it is - anamnetisch = anamnetisch, historical [Bunjes] (Anamnese ist die Krankengeschichte) For fraglich, I'd probably use possible - see if that fits into your context Ovar|ek|tomie (; Ektomie*) f: op. Entfernung eines (Semikastration) od. beider Eierstöcke (Kastration*) bei pathol. Veränderungen (Zyste, Tumor) od. zur Ausschaltung der endokrinen Funktion (z. B. bei Mammakarzinom). anamnestic ovarectomy Explanation: Why does that not sound right? Check your local medical dictionary for a confirmation. Anamnestic refers to the medical case history of the patient. Cheerio, Dierk Reference: http://allserv.rug.ac.be/~rvdstich/eugloss/welcome.html |

anamnestic ovariectomy Explanation: On the basis of my gynecological surgeries, I think what they mean is that there are no clinical documents about the ovariectomy, but the only source is the information provided by the patient herself. |

Questionable history of oophorectomy (& see below) Explanation: >>The patient has a questionable history of oophorectomy.<< Or (in telegraph style common to medical reporting:) >>Questionable history of oophorectormy.<< (A) According to Dorland, the English term anemnesis can mean (1.) recollection; (2.) a medical or psychiatric history; (3.) immunologic memory. The apertainent adjective is anamnestic. But _Anamnese_ commonly translates as patient history or is accordingly paraphrased, e.g. the patient's history, this patient has a history of… etc. (In some cases it may be synonymous with _case history_ which is also used in non-medical contexts.) --- AltaVista (English:) +patient +history: 71,970 pages found AltaVista (English:) +patient +anamnesis: 882 pages found AltaVista (English:) +patient +anamnestic 580 pages found (B) In this and similar medical contexts a likely translation of fraglich is _questionable. (C) According to Dorland's Illustrated Medical Dictionary (ISBN: 0-7216-2859-1), surgical removal of one or booth ovaries can be termed oophorectomy, orvariectormy or ovariotomy (which can also mean surgical removal of an ovarian tumor). Surgical removal of the uterus and both ovaries is a complete hysterectomy. AltaVista (English) :7,208 pages found for the following terms: word count: ovariotomies: 40; complete hysterectomies: 42; ovariectomies: 71; ovariotomy: 178; oophorectomies: 186; complete hysterectomy: about 400; ovariectomy: 3467; oophorectomy: 9120 (see above) |
