German to English translations [PRO] Medical - Medical (general)
German term or phrase:Zentrums- und Spitzenversorgung
Das Universitätsklinikum Innsbruck ist ein Standort der medizinischen Zentrums- und Spitzenversorgung und umfasst 20 Kliniken mit 36 Abteilungen und fünf Instituten.
Based on that, which seems to show the "hierarchy" of care types, and assuming that "Grundversorgung" means "basic/primary care" (your GP), "Zentrumsversorgung" could just mean "hospital/medical centre care". So basically it's a major in-patient hospital?
I found this phrase while googling: "Versorgungsstufe (Grundversorgung, Schwerpunktversorgung, Zentrumsversorgung)" - not sure if it helps! It's from this document: http://www.iop.unibe.ch/lehre/lizentiatsarbeiten/Liz-Jossen-Raphael.pdf
