Medical - Medical (general) / treatment of calcifying tendonitis
German term or phrase: 1er Kanüle
This relates to the treatment of calcifying tendonitis using CT-based quadrant technique.

Über diesen [den Quadrant] wird mit einer 1er Kanüle die Ausdehnung des Kalkherdes palpiert und das Zentrum desselben mit einem Tasthaken eröffnet und anschließend herausgerührt.

1er Kanüle = No. cannula?

English translation:20 G needle
Explanation:
I think you have to be careful with such dimensions. 1er (1mm) is the needle opening size not a number. Please see the linked document, in which 1er corresponds to 20 G (gauge), which is equivalent to 0.902 mm. Needle seems to be more common than cannula. I'm not an expert and this is only intended as a hint for further research.

Many thanks for your help: I was on the wrong lines with "cannula". I've since found out from the transaltion bureau that this relates to a size 1 needle under the Pravaz system which equates to 0.9mm.
