German to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical (general) / Internal medicine
German term or phrase: Hochzug
In a German medical report with several gastrointestinal procedures for esophageal cancer, patient at one time underwent "Magenhochzug" and then another time "Colonhochzug". I decided to just ask one question, assuming "Hochzug" itself would have an equivalent in medical English. Here are the words used in context (there is not more detailed context):

"Z.n. abd.thor.Oesophagektomie mit Magenhochzug und intrathorakaler Anastomose."

"...Wiederstellung der Kontinuität mittels Colon-Hochzug, zervikale Ösophagoileostomie..."

What would be the best medical English translation?

Thanks,

Stephen

agree  Ioana Claudia Popa, DMD, PhD: "Pull-up" is in fact the exact translation of "Hochzug". It makes sense to me :-)
