Clarification request(s) and response
margarete: 8:09pm Feb 5, 2005: Andrew raises an interesting question: Is this letter intended to be mailed to Herrn Primarius Dr. XXX or has it already been mailed to him and this is a translation as part of a file or record? -
Julija Sametz-Art (asker): 8:11pm Feb 5, 2005: The letter is addressed to the doctor mentioned above, but does not deal with the specifics of the hospital. No more helpful context available.

Explanation:
When it reaches the hospital, the internal mail system will cope better if you leave it as it is!

agree Shane London: I think this the best solution for an address on a letter.

neutral Nick Somers: Surely 4th or even better Dep Med Rehab IV, but certainly not 4. // "4." is the German notation for "fourth". It is NOT the English way of writing it, which is 4th.

medical department (division) with rehabilitation unit

Explanation:
Depending on the context you may use "division" instead of "department", but that's hard to say without more context.

If this department\'s purpose is nothing but rehabilitation, you may skip the first part altogether and leave it as \"rehabilitation unit\". Again though, kind of hard to say without knowing more about this text.
