Tech/Engineering - Metallurgy / Casting / Wires / coils
German term or phrase: Kaltwalzen
I have been provided with a long list of terms to translate with no background material or context. Most are fine but there are a handful that I am struggling with. Can anyone help?

cold rolling
Explanation:
That's ambiguous: in the context of metallurgy, cold rolling refers to the process of "Kaltwalzen" (cf. "cold-rolled steel") but the German term might also be the plural of "Kaltwalze" (cold roll). I suspect, however, that the former is meant here.

(It wouldn't hurt if you provided some of the surrounding terms on the list in order for us to get a clearer picture.)
