Das Gutachten gibt einen guten Überblick über den aktuellen Zustand des Konversionsstandortes und ist eine gute Quelle für die vorgesehene historische Recherche and die Ausarbeitung von Untersuchungsprogrammen.
Es entspricht aber nicht, wie ausführlich dargelegt wurde, den in Nordrhein-Westfalen gültigen Standards zur Erhebung von altlastverdächtigen Flächen auf militärischen Liegenschaften. Um diesen gerecht zu werden, ist es aus sachverständiger Sicht geboten....

neutral  Michél Dallaserra: Wir zitieren denselben Link: Wo ist der von Ihnen vorgeschlagene Begriff darin zu finden? So weit war ich auch, Herr Runge. Meine Zweifel bezogen sich auf den von Ihnen dafür verwendeten Begriff, den ich in der zitierten Quelle nicht finden konnte.

agree  TonyTK: "base" sounds alright. I'm not sure "conversion" would be understood outside Germany, unless it's clear from the context.

neutral  Bernd Runge: Wo bleibt der Anteil "Konversion"?? Ehemalig bedeutet noch lange nicht, dass der Standort ziviler Nutzung übergeben wird!//Welche Umschreibung: base anstatt airfield? Immer noch keine Konversion.

It would depend on the rest of the paragraph how much more information is required, so one might also have to include "used formerly for military purposes".
"Conversion" is a technical term used in this context, but if it is considered to be too little-known (as some users have said), then "redevelopment" is better.
