Quote: "Er war in der Erkundergruppe bei der Stabs- und Versorgungskompanie des Sanitätslehrregimentes eingesetzt"

In rough I have thus far:
He was appointed to the “Erkundergruppe” (explorer group) at the Headquarters and Supply Company of the “Sanitätslehrregiment“ (Medical Instruction Regiment).

I want to check whether anyone knows of a more specific term, or can confirm my suggestion, as this is a fairly new area for me!
