Reference information: Es handelt sich hierbei um ein Kegelstumpfgeschoss mit einer geschlossenen Hohlspitze. Die Hohlspitze ist mit einer Aluspitze versehen. Damit wird der Luftwiderstandswert des Geschosses deutlich verbessert ohne die Geschosseigenschaften zu beeinträchtigen. Das Geschoss ist mit Sollbruchstellen vorgespalten. Die gewählte Geschosskonstruktion erzielt beim Auftreffen auf den Wildkörper einen sehr hohen Staudruck. Dieser ist für die ausgezeichnete Augenblickswirkung des Geschosses im Wesentlichen verantwortlich. Da eine Geschossfahne am Restkörper verbleibt, überschlägt sich das Geschoss im Wildkörper und gibt so erhöhte Energie ab. Dies geschieht sehr richtungsstabil auch bei niedrigen Auftreffgeschwindigkeiten. In early 1992 Winchester introduced the "Black Talon", a newly designed hollow-point handgun bullet which used a specially designed, reverse tapered jacket. This "reverse taper" refers to the bullet's jacket being thicker at the tip than the toward the base, enhancing rigidity which allows the sharp petals to remain largely perpendicular to the wound path, unlike traditional designs where the expanding jacket petals would peel back almost completely behind the expanded lead mushroom.
The most obvious difference from the SXT is that the bonded design, meant to maintain structural integrity through difficult intermediate barriers like auto-glass, largely prevents the sharp petals from peeling away from the lead core and fully protruding into the wound track.
Das ist auch keine Fräswirkung, die gibt es nicht denn dafür müsste sich das Geschoss viel schneller drehen und nicht nur (Annahme) 1x auf ca. 25 cm.
