Art/Literary - Music | | German term or phrase: Das alles, auf Ehr' | Text is talking about Felix Weingartner's 5th symphony. I suspect, though, that the phrase I'm looking for is actually "lifted" from a song in the operetta "The Gypsy Baron"(Der Zigeunerbaron, Joh. Strauss), because the text is full of "clever" references like this.
My sentence, explaining why he might have felt as if he were being pursued by the devil:
"Die unerschöpfliche Geschichte "Weingartner und die Jurisdiktion", die verdrängten Schuldgefühle einem Bruder gegenüber..., der Tod der Ehefrau Lucille und des Sohnes Alfred.. die Rastlosigkeit dessen, der, kaum hat man ihn mit Würden aufgenommen, schon wieder von dannen strebt - das alles, auf Ehr' ... |
