na | ?? entrance tunnels ?? |

?? entrance tunnels ?? Explanation: This is a good bilingual site for your translation: http://www.dh-mechatronic.com/ The "Schleusen" are the short entrance tunnels leading the last few meters into an auditorium or stadium. Partly they are there to hide the ugly framework under the seating rows above and to the left and right of the tunnel but they are also often carefully designed to create an orderly flow in and out. I do not know if "entrance tunnel" the right term, but these sites seem to support the use of the term: http://www.msu.edu/unit/apueas/bacdegltrf99.html http://njvvmf.org/memorial/View3.htm http://www.benmeadows.com/ResourceLibrary/igloo.html http://perseus.csad.ox.ac.uk/cgi-bin/image?lookup=1991.04.00... http://abccfb.go.com/news/tradition.19991005.miamissmoke.pag... http://www.urel.berkeley.edu/urel_1/CampusNews/PressReleases... - HTH - Dan |
