For Brunnen you can use: 1.fountain or fount (peot.) 2. spring 3. well Instead of cake you can also use baked goods, pastry etc. and why not use fair, festivity for festival It really all comes down to the association one has from the different words. Why do they have a "Brunnen Festival"? Do they have springs, old wells or new fountains? In the US one associates German festivals more with fairs. Muret-Sanders |
