German term or phrase: "Wurfleistung per Sau" - "Totalherbizid" - "Unkrau
Wish we had got the "Mission Statement" job, it would have been much easier than this. I have dreamed up the following translations but need confirmation or something better: "Wurfleistung per Sau" = "farrowing productivity per sow" - "Totalherbizid" = "broad spectrum herbicide" - "Unkrautbekämpfung" – "weed control" – Thanks in advance! another possibility for 'Totalherbizid': non-selective weedkiller;

'weed control' is correct;

Thanks boys and girls! Again, the points should have been split up somehow. You are absolutely right Anka, I should have included more context because you could not know that the whole conversation was about the use of the word "productivity". Litres of milk per year from cows, litres per ha for weed killer and piglets per year from sows. Therefore, I had to stick to my "productivity" translation. I chose Ute's "non-selective" answer because it saved me from upsetting the customer. Both "broad spectrum" and "non-selective" are used for this horrible stuff but upon checking Ute's answer, I found the customer's own product sheets use "non-selective".

Litter size per sow, weed control

Explanation:
For some reason I have a few little farming dictionaries. Can't find "Totalherbizid", but your translation sounds good.
"Litter size per sow" of course refers to only one litter at a time. If the total capacity during the whole lifetime of the sow is meant, your translation is better.

Unfortunately I cannot help you with the first, however with the latter two items, I thought of the same translations as you had without having seen your proposals. As such, I think you have found good translations. Best Regards, J. Hovan

Wurfleistung... = lifetime progeny expectation(s)

Explanation:
We really need more context, Dan. The Wurfleistung could refer to past litter sizes but could also be intended to elicit an estimate of the numbers of progeny to be expected over the productive lifetime of the sow. Some throw smaller litters than others and it's genetic. I would tend toward 'litter size' from the info provided. You did great with the other terms so I won't address them.
