German term or phrase: Zeitschriftenrundlauf
Hi,

I'm explaining my problem in English, hoping to reach more of you who may be able to help me.
I'm searching for the English term for "Zeitschriftenrundlauf" as I have to translate that for a software procuct of my compnay. That's why there's no real context.
This "Rundlauf" is used in German if the library of a certain instituion orders journals or magazines and lists them in their catalouge. These magazines are then lent to single divisions of this institution, one after the other. The library keeps track of this circulation.

Is there a special expression?
I'm really desperate and hope, someone can help!
Thanks a lot!

English translation:Circulation status
Explanation:
You say it's for a software program and that it's supposed to indicate where the periodicals are currently, is that right?

Then I would simply say 'circulation status', as it's certain that the periodicals are being circulated and the program indicates what there current location is.

Or at least that's what I understood.

agree  Birgit Gläser: Considering that the publications sometimes get stuck in one location, I think status is better than schedule
