Law/Patents - Other / Polizeiarbeit | | German term or phrase: Zur Sachfahndung ausschreiben | This note appears in a certificate issued by a German police station to a foreigner whose passport got stolen:
"Bei Wiederauffinden von entwendeten bzw. in Verlust geratenen Gegenständen, welche von der Polizei ***zur Sachfahndung ausgeschrieben*** wurden, ist die sachbearbeitende Dienststelle zu unterrichten."
The rest of the note explains who is to be notified if you find other items again, e.g. identification papers for which you have already received replacements, items the loss/theft of which you have already reported to your insurance company. So there is no hint what precisely is meant by "zur Sachfahndung ausschreiben".
