German term or phrase: Gesamtvorrichtung

Der verletzende Gegenstand wird oft in einer Gesamtvorrichtung eingebaut.

I can't give any more context since the sentence is actually in French, although referring to a German patent law problem. Basically means that the infringement is often integrated into something bigger, but I need a suitabel term for this "something bigger"

Asker: I know that Vorrichtung is device; I was wondering whether there wasn't an "official" term in teh field of patent law for this thing. Looks like there might not be, so your suggestion would fit

Asker: I think the use of gesamtvorrichtung in the reference is in fact not the same as in my text (it seems to use the term to describe the patented invention as a whole, while my context is one where the patented invention is used in another, larger device.
