Could this be a variant spelling of an s.r.l., an Italian company with limited liability? If so, this of course forms part of the company name.

That said, the spelling "SRL" (i. e. all capitals) is also common in Romania but means the same (company with limited liability). Asker: Thanks for the input Steffen, also for writeaway`s comments. I tried googling but did not have much luck as the company XXXXX is entered as Fa.Koch Heat Transfer Company,SRL in the text. Their place of origin is not given, the main document comes from a company in Hamburg - the petrol company with the tiger - but my client is in Italy, sounds a real "buzz", or not?
