German term or phrase: Funkenschlag
Funkenschlag

Kindly suggest a proper translation of Funkenschlag.

English translation:wireless hit / contact
Explanation:
only a suggestion...

The translation depends on the intended purpose and target audience. 'Funkenschlag' is a pun here, intended to draw attention (and maybe to show how clever the author is...).

In one sense, it means the occurrence of a spark (as when a sparkplug fires), and in another sense it means a connection using a wireless link (Funk = radio), which here refers to the WiFi interface.

agree  Steffen Walter: The intended (OVERLY clever) pun was not really obvious to me, though. When I first saw the word/headline, I was unable to establish any link to the paragraph.

-> Yeah, I thought first of the figurative 'spark of contact' (à la Michealangelo's hand of God), and then Funkverbindung.
