German to English translations [PRO] Art/Literary - Poetry & Literature / Shakespeare quotation | | German term or phrase: lebenswahr | I actually need to find out which act and scene this comes from, in Shakespeare's works. Then I can look it up in my copy of "The Complete Works". I have found the original of four of these quotations but cannot trace this one:
Wenn man das lebenswahr spielt, werden die Tränen strömen, Kollegen. Ich will Stürme entfesseln und sie mit Wehklagen mischen.
(Hope that has cheered you all up).
I don't know which Shakespeare translation this comes from, but I don't think it is the Wieland one.
Any help much appreciated. |
