Eine Assistentin erschien und half dem Arzt, Martha warm anzuziehen. Martha lachte, als sie hörte, daß sie getragen werden sollte. Da sie unbedingt eine Vertretung für die Sonntagsschule besorgen wollte, ernannte der Doktor augenzwinkernd seine Assistentin dazu. Darüber lachten sie noch, als sie sich fertigmachten zum Abfahren.
