German term or phrase:nicht nur Ballermann und Komasaufen
Es geht um der Deutschen liebste Insel: Mallorca. Ballermann ist ja Synonym geworden für alkoholbetonte Ferien von Jugendlichen, Kegelvereinen oder Leuten, die gerne mal auf den Putz hauen wollen.
Ballermann ist übrigens eine Verballhornung des Balneario 6 in Arenal. Balneario = Badeanstalt ;-)
Was wäre denn das Äquivalent der englischsprachigen Touristen? Ich meine, dass es in Palmanova/Magaluf auch ein bestimmtes Publikum (von der anderen Insel) gibt, dass auch solche Rituale wie Komasaufen kennt.

wie Francis richtig bemerkt, spielen auch die Auswirkungen des Alkohols, enthemmtes Verhalten bzgl. körperbetonter Aktivitäten eine Rolle.Das alles wird ja schon automatisch mit dem Wort Ballermann assoziiert. Francis erwähnt auch die Chips. Stehen dann fuer das gewohnte Futter der Briten. Auch eine wichtige Komponente des Ballermannurlaubs. Bei Deutschen dann eher Schnitzel als kulinarisches Warnsignal.
Zusammenhang: Mein Urlaub auf Mallorca.
Nicht nur Ballermann und Komasaufen, sondern auch Natur und Stille.
Es geht mir aber doch ganz spezifisch um dieses alkoholbetonte Phänomen, was ja wirklich nicht neu ist. Selber erlebt habe ich das schon in den 80er Jahren an der Costa Brava übten sich in vielen Orten englische, genauso wie deutsche, Jugendliche auch schon im Kampftrinken.
Ich finde auch, dass mehr Informationen zum Zusammenhang für eine gute Antwort nötig sind. Bei Briten/Deutschen könnte man u.a. auf den "Handtuch-Krieg" anspielen oder bei Amerikanern auf "Spring Break" und das oft damit verbundene "Kampftrinken".

Perhaps the closest equivalent to 'Koma-' in BE would be 'getting paralytic' (not 'comatose').
The island in question ('bucket-and-spade mentality') was indeed Mallorca/Majorca.
The conjunction 'and' after 'brigade' is possibly redundant.
