Laß
nun jetzt von mir ab, ich will meine letzten
Bestimmungen treffen, dann will ich dir,
was du wissen willst, offenbaren.“ Und er

Surely it would be more efficient (and fairer to us) if you posted all the relevant information with each question? ;-) BrigitteHilgner: 10:34am Jul 27, 2007: Context is missing! It might mean "make my will" or just simply "give orders".

|
| | put my affairs in order | Explanation: I suggest this tentatively, because I think "last arrangements" or "final arrangements" is fine as a literal translation. And, pace Brigitte, I think the context is perfectly clear; the person is giving final instructions for the managment of his affairs before he dies - whether that involves making a formal will is unclear in both German & English, and irrelevant, I think, to the tale. However, the standard phrase for this in English would be "putting one's affairs in order". |

| make arrangements/ give instructions
Explanation: Bestimmung can also mean Anordnung (in the sense of stipulation). Hence my suggestions.
