yes, that I still want to see!

Explanation:
Might depend on the poem:
(a suggestion/attempt below)

Eigentlich ist mir alles gleich,
Der eine wird arm, der andre wird reich,
Aber mit Bismarck – was wird das noch geben?
Das mit Bismarck, das möcht' ich noch erleben.

It's all the same, don't really care which
some get to be poor, some get to be rich
but now under Bismarck - what else will there be?
all that under Bismarck, yes, that I still want to see.

agree  Allison Wright: Or, if the poet is being ironic, "yes, that I would like to see!" or "yes, that I'd like to see!"

agree  wilp: what's the problem even if has been done yet? Right answer!

neutral  Kim Metzger: I wish, not I'd wish
5 hrs
-> Thank you, as always, for the suggestion!

disagree  Andrew Swift: Sorry, Horst. I was intending to let this pass, but then I saw it had attracted an ‘agree’. “Yes, that I would have wished I could have lived to see”; “Yes, that I had wished I had lived to have seen” etc? Unfortunately, none of them English.

-> Thank you. It seems I heard this from an older acquiantance; she had a reputation for speaking properly. Quite possibly not too many people around speak English.

agree  Oliver Toogood: The english is fine!
