Den (brand key visual) steht rechts im Anschnitt und läuft zum (brand name) Schriftzug hinaus. Beide sind in der Höhe vermittelt.

Am I missing something here, or does this simply mean that they are level? This is a set of instructions on how a printing company is to design a brochure.

This might be a clearer example, well explained graphically as well as verbally:

Fill the new rectangle with white, remove any outline properties, and position it to center vertically with the first rectangle and slightly below the top edge (see below).
