Ich bin mir nicht sicher, was das ausgehende Kindesalter ist. Ist es das "transitional age between childhood and adolescence"?

agree  Susan Welsh: I would include "to early teens" as part of the translation, since to me "late childhood" is a bit vague, and in the eyes of the beholder (some would consider an 18-yr-old a "child").
